The Deadly Spring.
The cherry blossoms of death were blooming,
And the green grass was turning into ice.
We all are waiting for the sun,
Which doesn’t plan to rise.
You know there used to be a time when birds used to chirp and sing,
And never-ending happiness, that it used to bring.
As time grew and we were getting older with it,
I could see fewer birds in the air and then there was no music in it.
I’m writing a song in the memory of the good old days,
A deadly spring that has come in our lives in so many different ways!
We can’t meet anyone and just stay inside,
And give each other some time,
And sometimes sit out in the evening,
Because it is again the beautiful chirping time.
We can’t go out of our houses and
Can’t let anyone in,
But that’s the beauty of this day
So, enjoy it with some happiness and gin.
We were running and not stopping,
We were hurting everyone in our way
Not that we’ve got a chance
So just relish this day.
I did not like this quarantine
To stay home and bore yourselves,
But now that I’ve realised
This has been the only time I’ve looked into my bookshelves.
So, basically, this is not a dead spring,
Instead, we all are having
Our best summer swing.
