WHG emphasizes mentoring, a sense of community and positive interactions with peers and family and offers a series of activities and enriching experiences designed to broaden horizons, develop life skills, and reinforce the importance of education.  www.<a href=\"https:\/\/ www.womenhelpinggirls.org\">womenhelpinggirls<\/a>.org<\/p>\n<p>\n<i>From the book:<\/i><\/p>\n<p><b>Who Are You<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b><br \/>\nWhich sort of a body,<br \/>\n                  some body,<br \/>\n           any body,<br \/>\n                  no body,<br \/>\na part of a body of people<br \/>\nseparated breath by breath,<br \/>\na soft curve of a comma?<\/p>\n<p>How different from the exclamation<br \/>\nWho do you think you are!<br \/>\ngiven by a jury of voices<br \/>\narguing an ego&#8217;s case.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s a sentence that opens doors<br \/>\nto waiting rooms, wandering corridors<br \/>\nuntil the judge holds court.<\/p>\n<p>Between the covers of your book<br \/>\nthis unanswerable who<br \/>\nasks,<br \/>\n   reads,<br \/>\n        pulses,<br \/>\n            pulls.<\/p>\n<p>Calligraphy in Japanese Woods<\/p>\n<p>Say these syllables,<br \/>\nma   tsu   ka   ze &#8211;<br \/>\nwind in the pines.<\/p>\n<p>Ma   tsu   <br \/>\n             ka   ze,<\/p>\n<p>a maple leans<br \/>\nagainst a pine,<\/p>\n<p>tall, straight,<br \/>\nholding me<br \/>\n        slant<br \/>\nagainst you.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Kitty Josp\u00e9  French teacher, art docent, amateur musician with a passion for language, people and all the arts. She holds an MA in French Literature from New York University (1984) and an MFA in creative writing, Poetry, from Pacific University, Oregon (2009).
