I picked<\/p>\n

I picked
\nthe warm vapors
\nof the Autumn
\nin a sky
\nveiled of tenderness.
\nveiled of tenderness<\/p>\n

And I clasped
\nyour hands between mine
\nbeing afraid of
\nthe cold fogs
\nof the Winter. <\/p>\n

Also the tears<\/b><\/p>\n

Also the tears
\nleave
\ntheir trail of light
\nwhen the look
\npicks the Infinite.
\nAnd you, tear
\nof joy,
\nstill have for me
\nthe sweetness of Love.
\n——<\/p>\n

ON THE WARM LAND<\/p>\n

\nIn the lukewarm twilight
\nplayed the shadows
\nwith the flashes
\nof the last sun.<\/p>\n

You and me, on the path,
\nthe hands intertwined
\nand red our face,
\nwalked slowly
\nas if we wanted to stop
\nthe tumultuous wave
\nthat boiled in our breast.<\/p>\n

On the warm land
\nbetween the thick grass and the flowers
\nwe picked up Love.
\nThere were nothing but kisses
\nwith the chirping of crickets
\nwhile we did dances
\nstolen to the time…<\/p>\n

The caresses of the dew
\nfound us given up
\nto the rest
\nof lovers
\non the lips the smile
\nof the innocence.<\/p>\n

\nInes Scarparolo<\/b><\/p>\n

Ines Scarparolo was born in Vicenza, where she lives, in
\n1946. She published eight books of poems and one short-
\nstory book:”S’ciant\u00ecse” (Torino, Associazione culturale
\nPenna d’Autore, 1997), “Ascolta” (Torino, Associazione
\nculturale Penna D’Autore, 1997); “Quando fiorisce il
\npesco” (Melegnano, Montedit, 2000); “Tra nubi erranti”
\n(Arezzo, Edizioni Helicon, 2001); “Giochi di colore”
\n(Torino, Associazione culturale Penna D’Autore, 2002); “Il
\nrespiro dei fiori” (Vicenza, Editrice Veneta,
\n2002); “Sogni nella valle” (Patti – ME, Nicola Calabria
\nEditore, 2004), “Grappoli di stelle” (Torino, Associazione
\nculturale Penna D’Autore, 2005); “Per te, amico!” (Chieti,
\nEdizioni Cannarsa, 2006). She edited with Cristina
\nContilli”Elegia per Nadia Anjuman” (Torino, Edizioni Carta
\ne Penna, 2006). This book contains the first italian
