M. K. SADIGH—-A chair a testimonial object

A chair a testimonial object

A chair a testimonial object
Testify to long expectation
Witness frustration
Seen many appointments
And disappointments

A chair is not only
Recipient of exhaustion
It not a decorative ornament
And not only a sitting requirement

A chair is a station for a tryst
A relieve for fatigue
Receive secret or open mission
For exhausted feet to revive and regain

A chair is
Sanctuary of memories
Sweet and bitter and pleasant
Presence and forgotten and absent

A chair is an object of attention
And tranquilizer of stressed
Of the nervous and tension
Ready to receive exhausted

A chair could be the throne of a king
A chair could be signifying an empire
Final sit of the execution of an innocent
Or the throne of a judge
Declaration place for a zealous to play God
