A Poem

today
the trees were crying
not from sorrow
but because they were so happytheir arms were weighed down
with the pain of the storm
and they bowed down in beautiful sorrow
for the weight they would bear home
but today
the sun reached for their arms
and their woe
felt less so
as the ice ran down their bark
and into the snow
today
the trees were melting
tears of joy
