Pomegranate Tree

Nothing will happen
If this pomegranate tree

That I water every day forgets me.

Nothing will happen if no one
Remembers me
There will be women in this world,
And in this city
who will carry all my pains
on their shoulder

Who will walk with my legs
They will fall in love with my heart
And enjoy the stars
With my eyes.
Women who will write my poems
About love and wars

There are women who will go to bed
With their lover with my body

They will kiss with my lips
They will talk with my voice
And they will water
Pomegranate tree with my hands
Everywhere in this world

I am all women

I am still a child

As if years and days were asleep

I am still that little child
Who loves her lacy shoes
I love my errant hair
That hardly talks to my shoulders

As if years and days were asleep
And my hands still are
The hands of a child,
Demanding another hand
To jump over the creek
And my childish heart
Gets confused by the
First encounter with love.

what happened to all those years
Have I lost the experience of
Living in this strange world
I am still a child and mother’s eyes
Never leaves this house

Come and see this child
I have tamed the years
And the Moon engulfed
In childish palms
